Focke Wulf FW 190

An original ww2 Luftwaffe Focke Wulf 190 battery box lid. Recovered inside FW190 W.Nr.1227 that was found in a forest near St. Petersburg and now flying agin with Paul Allens Flying Collection.

The bakelite lid has original FW190 and W.Nr.1237 painted on the side by the Luftwaffe. To the rear the mold has inspector stamps and part numbers with a 43 date. It is unknown how why it was used in a different machine.

The part has a crack at the edges on both sides from use. But this is not structurally important. It has been cleaned and polished back to its original condition.
