WW2 Douglas C47 Airborne Emblems D-Day

This is a section of the tailplane of a WW2 Douglas C-47.

It has an original part number stamped on the ribs that confirms its identity.

It has the original chromate green primer on the inside.

This part came from one of the C-47's that was used for the static scenes for the Band Of Brothers mini series. These aircraft were based at North Weald.

We have painted the front in Olive Drab and added the two airborne emblems of the American regiments whe were landed on D-day - the 82nd and 101st.

The piece measured 38cm x 16cm. x 1.5cm deep

£125 plus P&P (UK £9)
