U S Navy ships mechanical deck clock dated 1956.

Mechanical USN deck clock - 5.5 inch dial dated 1956 US Navy with 8 day wind up mechanism. Keeps good time. Dial is completely original and correct.

The mechanism is not named but appears original. The escapement has been replaced at some time. The bezel is original but has been attached to a new brass body. We have replaced the glass.

The brass body has been reproduced / fabricated in Indo China in the 1970s before it was purchased there and brought back to the UK by the previous owner.

Mounted on a rectangular wood panel stained black and the WW2 US Navy logo engraved into it. A hook for the key to be hung on lower right hand side A mirror plate allows it to be wall hung.
