Mickey the Moocher
Mickey the Moocher is one of the 35 Lancasters that completed over 100 missions. SHe was manufactured in Spring 1943 and began operational service in June 43. She was given the code numbers EE176. It was with 61 squadron at Syerston in September 43 that she was given the squadron code QR-M.
There was a song by Cab Calloway from the 1930’s called Minnie the Moocher. EE176 was named Mickey the Moocher.
The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight pained a reproduction of Mickey onto Lancaster PA474 from February 2000 until February 2007.

It is made from 5 separate pieces of aluminium sheet.
The panel represents the aircraft between formers B and G.
