Avro Lancaster

We have been painting some of the Lancaster upper wing panel that we brought back from France. The lower section had some burning so we removed the burnt paint and repainted in black with the retained original camouflage paint on the top edge.

Avro Lancaster Relics

A selection of aluminium relics from the upper wing of a WW2 Avro Lancaster with original paint.
The wing was recovered by a French citizen in WW2 and barn stored since then.
These small pieces have come from the large sections. There are a range of sizes and number of pieces. There are 5 available with different contents.
The large panels have the remains of the original RAF Bomber Command Dark Earth brown painted roundel. The stringers on the large panels had part numbers confirming the identity.

Avro Lancaster Relics

Each bag has one section of stringer aprox 10cm long.
