Avro Shackleton RAF Aircraft Door 1952 Aviation Art /Coffee Table

original Royal Air Force aircraft door with hand painted cartoon Nose Art for use as artwork or can be easily made into a coffee table.
Ex Royal Air Force Avro Shackleton MR2 crew door with two original data plates that confirm it was made in 1952 at Avro Woodford Manchester from the second batch ordered likely from the WL74X serials. Upgraded in 1966 at HSA Langar. We do not have an exact identity for which Shackleton it was used in.

The Shackleton was a Rolls Royce Griffon engined Maritime Reconnaissance aircraft that was a direct descendant in design from the Avro Lancaster and Lincoln.

This is the crew door from the rear starboard fuselage. The grey paint is the original RAF applied Extra Dark Sea Grey that has faded to dark grey. The arrows and yellow stencil for door opening are original from RAF service.

We have refinished the rear in the original cream vinyl and made new aluminium panels for the access hatches. The lower brown vinyl ( excluding replacement hatches) is original to RAF service.
On the front we have prefabricated the lower safety equipment hatch and added the safety equipment outlines as per the original.

We have hand painted the cartoon Florence and Dougal artwork that was originally applied to 8 Squadron RAF MR2 Shackleton aircraft. It has had a gloss topcoat on the upper surface as per the originals.
The door lock works.

The door can be placed in a corner for use as a unique artwork.

Alternatively it is possible to add metal legs and turn it into a coffee table.

The cost of the legs is an additional £150 so please contact us if this is of interest as we will have to source the legs and drill holes to add captive nuts to the rear - this will extend the delivery time and we will have to relist the item for the higher cost with the legs. So please discuss with us before purchasing!

It can then be used as a gently sloping table or a piece of racetrack cut toughened glass can be added to sit clear of the surface on supports.

The cost of the glass is estimated to be an additional £250 to £350 dependent upon thickness and you can order directly from the glass supplier including delivery to your door. The glass is not included in this sale.

P-51D Mustang aircraft aluminium key ring fob

P-51 D Mustang key ring fobs. These were cut from an aluminium reinforcing bar from the wing elevator shroud. The green paint is original.
One has the part number on it which matches the North American Aviation parts list.
We have etched the aircraft name(s) onto one side.
Each one weighs ca. 50g.
These would make great gifts for an aviation's enthusiast. The listing is for a single keyring.

They are aproximately 50mm long and 25mm wide and 5 mm thick.
They come in a packet with a card detailing where they are from and a wire key loop in various colors.
